Artist Statement: “On the Horizon is a piece about growth and looking forward. An earlier version of this peace featured the girl drowning in the orange ocean struggling to push forward and was drawn during a of immense change in my life. I decided to redraw the piece a year later but instead of struggling for air the girl now looks beyond the horizon just as I have overcome my own struggles and continue to look forward.”
