Cece Balde is a first-year LSA student studying Neuroscience and Spanish with a lifelong love of music and its craftsmanship. She composed this in her Theory 137 class last semester, a class she highly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone interested in learning musical composition.
“This piece is an exploration of orchestral shaping to build and release tension, meant to mimic the sensation of soaring in the skies. This piece utilizes a call and response between the piano and violin parts to evoke a sense of conversation before the grand exclamation at the piece's conclusion. Most importantly, I just hope you enjoy listening to it.”
